Chat with documents
Chat with a document to analyze its content conversationally.
Last updated 5 months ago
Our Ask Claire feature enables you to review and analyze student work conversationally. This is particularly helpful (but not limited to) the following scenarios:
You’re about to make an annotation (e.g., noting that an argument lacks depth), but you are unsure if the student has provided more context in a different part of the submission.
You recall reading an interesting point in an earlier section, but you can’t remember it accurately nor the student’s exact argument.
You’re uncertain whether you understood the student and their intentions correctly and want to seek confirmation from Claire rather than having to reread an entire section.
How it works
To access the copilot chat, click the Ask Claire button 1 or press [ on your keyboard.

This will open the chat panel on the left, which enables you to send inquiries to Claire.
Good to know 👋🏼
Claire is contextually aware and knows which Block you focus on, allowing you to prompt without having to provide more context, e.g., “Is this mentioned elsewhere?”.

Constraints
